Construct 3 is a 2D games creation system that runs online in most browsers on any modern device including Windows 7 and up, Mac OSX from 10.9, Chromebooks, Android and iOS 11+ devices. It will run on phones, but the larger screen size of a tablet or computer makes editing easier. More than 50% of the games submitted to Kongregate have been made with Construct.
The free trial version permits 25 ‘events’ – after that an educational license is £9.99 + VAT = £11.99 subscription for one year. Colleges, schools and universities can buy licenses or if you are one of our students let us know via email and we can discuss a license.

Adding sounds in Construct 2
First your sound must be in .wav (pcm) format, as Construct will compress it into both .ogg and .mp4 formats ready for online gaming automatically. You cannot add mp4 or mp3 files for licensing reasons, but you can convert them to .wav using free online service Zamzar:
You may also want to use the free Audacity app which runs on Macs and Windows, for recording, editing, sound effects and saving or converting to .wav:
