Maya

Autodesk provide some good 1-minute starter videos.

Autodesk Maya or 3ds Max are often used for modelling items which then need to be imported into a games engine such as Epic’s Unreal or Unity.

Sound for Unreal and Maya

Unreal requires sounds to be .WAV format (Maya allows ,.WAV or .AVI) as 16bit PCM. MP3 won’t work. You can use mono, stereo or a variety of surround sound options.
